Welcome
P-ADL combines the resources of three seasoned University of Central Florida (UCF) departments within the division of Information Technologies & Resources (IT&R) as the basis for partnering with other educational institutions, corporations, governmental agencies, and military services involved in distributed learning. These UCF departments are: the Center for Distributed Learning (CDL), Course Development & Web Services (CDWS), and the Research Initiative for Teaching Effectiveness (RITE).
Brevard Community College (BCC) joined P-ADL as a partner in 2005. BCC's Virtual Campus offers several online degrees and pursues instructional innovations for online learning. BCC brings expertise in learning object development to the partnership and benefits from increased faculty development resources.
Facilities
P-ADL is centered in the Central Florida Research Park's Partnership II building and is home to three multimedia event rooms, a research and development lab, usability suite, video production suite, and UCF's Center for Distributed Learning. Staff with expertise in video production and interactive media design are a key component of P-ADL activities.
Event rooms may be scheduled, as space is available, by P-ADL partners, Partnership II building occupants, UCF organizations, and others. A services fee may apply to outside organizations. See the room request form for more details
