About Us

Organizational Structure

P-ADL combines the resources of three seasoned University of Central Florida (UCF) departments within the division of Information Technologies & Resources (IT&R) as the basis for partnering with other educational institutions, corporations, governmental agencies, and military services involved in distributed learning. These UCF departments are: the Center for Distributed Learning (CDL), Course Development & Web Services (CDWS), and the Research Initiative for Teaching Effectiveness (RITE).

Governance

The directors of these three UCF departments serve as the governing body for P-ADL, under the authority of UCF's senior administration. (As the number of partner organizations grows, it is conceivable that their representation may cause the size of the governing body to grow as well.) P-ADL's research coordinator serves as the primary point-of-contact with potential partners/outside agencies and coordinates day-to-day operational decisions.
